Short answer: GTA 6 is a mature, adults-only-themed game rated M (17+) by the ESRB, and adult themes are part of its Vice City world. But almost everything people picture when they search "GTA 6 nudity", full-frontal nudity, explicit sex scenes, can-it-be-toggled-off, is currently a leak or a rumour, not something Rockstar has shown. This page sorts every claim into one of three buckets and shows the receipts.

This is a games-journalism explainer, not adult content. There are no explicit images or descriptions anywhere on the site. We summarise what Rockstar and the ESRB have actually confirmed, what is leaked or rumoured (and therefore unverified), and what is simply historical precedent from older Grand Theft Auto games. Every claim carries a date and a source.

GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, treat any "confirmed nudity", "confirmed sex scene" or "confirmed price" headline with suspicion, including ones that name-drop Rockstar. (A lot of them are wrong.)

How we tag every claim

We use three labels throughout the site, and they are the whole point of it:

  • Confirmed Officially shown by Rockstar, or set by a ratings board like the ESRB. Dated and sourced.
  • Leak / rumour Comes from leaks (notably the 2022 and 2024 leaks) or unsourced blogs. Unverified. We never present these as fact, and never attribute them to Rockstar.
  • Historical A pattern from a previous GTA game (GTA 5, San Andreas). Useful context, but not a statement about GTA 6.

The interactive Confirmed-vs-Rumour tracker at the top of this page lets you filter every claim by status, or hide rumours entirely to see only what is locked in.

Does GTA 6 have nudity?

There is no confirmed full nudity in GTA 6. Rockstar has not shown any, and the official trailers contain none.

A widely shared 2024 leak claimed Rockstar was deliberately steering away from full nudity to keep the game inside ratings-board limits. That is a useful-sounding idea, and it lines up with the way modern Rockstar handles explicit content, but it is a leak, unverified. We label it that way and we do not say "Rockstar confirmed" anything of the sort.

What is on record is the ESRB content descriptor. The board's listing for GTA 6 references strong sexual content, nudity and the usual mature themes as descriptors. A "nudity" descriptor tells you the game contains some, as most M-rated open worlds do; it does not mean explicit, pornographic nudity, which would push a game toward the Adults Only (AO) rating that platforms refuse to stock.

In plain terms: mature themes, yes; an explicit, AO-level experience, almost certainly not. The full breakdown is on our age rating page.

Does GTA 6 have sex scenes?

The official trailers show romance, not sex: the two protagonists, Lucia and Jason, are shown snuggling, kissing and dancing. That relationship is Confirmed straight from Rockstar's own trailers.

Whether GTA 6 contains playable or explicit sex scenes is a different question, and the honest answer is that nothing explicit has been confirmed. Leaks have suggested the game will not include explicit sex scenes at all; that claim is Leak / rumour until Rockstar says otherwise. We walk through the trailer evidence and why an M rating stops short of explicit acts on the sex scenes page.

Are there strip clubs in GTA 6?

Yes, and this one is genuinely Confirmed. Rockstar's own character and world reveals include the Jack of Hearts club in the Crosstown area, owned by the character Boobie Ike. The venue exists in the world of GTA 6.

What is not confirmed is the explicit detail. Claims about exactly what happens inside, including the much-repeated "male dancers" detail, trace back to the 2022 and 2024 leaked footage, not to any official Rockstar material, so those specifics are Leak / rumour. We keep the two apart on the strip clubs page.

What is the GTA 6 age rating?

Two ratings are confirmed:

  • ESRB: M (Mature 17+) Confirmed, for intense mature themes including strong sexual content, drugs and violence.
  • Australia: MA15+ Confirmed by the Australian Classification Board, whose report cites strong sex scenes and drug use among the content.

A full descriptor-by-descriptor breakdown, plus what PEGI and other boards are expected to do, is on the age rating page. If you are a parent rather than a player, start with our plain-language parents' guide instead.

Why trust a site called this?

Fair question. The domain is built to catch the searches, but the content is deliberately the opposite of what the name implies: a sober, sourced reference instead of clickbait. We do not host explicit material, we date every claim, and we separate what Rockstar has shown from what the internet is guessing. More on our method and sources is on the about and sourcing page.

Frequently asked questions

Does GTA 6 have nudity? No full nudity has been shown by Rockstar. The ESRB lists a nudity descriptor (common for M-rated games), but explicit, AO-level nudity is not confirmed and a 2024 leak claiming Rockstar avoids it is unverified.

Does GTA 6 have sex scenes? Official trailers show romance (kissing, dancing) between Lucia and Jason, which is confirmed. Explicit or playable sex scenes are not confirmed; leaks suggest there are none, but that is unverified.

Does GTA 6 have strip clubs? Yes. Rockstar confirmed the Jack of Hearts club, owned by the character Boobie Ike, in Crosstown. Specific explicit details come from leaks, not official material.

Is GTA 6 rated 18+? It is rated M (17+) by the ESRB in North America and MA15+ in Australia. It is an adults-themed, mature game, not suitable for children.

When does GTA 6 come out? GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the only date Rockstar has officially confirmed.

Can you turn off the adult content in GTA 6? No GTA 6 toggle has been confirmed by Rockstar. Historically, GTA's mature content has not been switchable in-game; the practical option is console-level parental controls.
